You built the life they told you to build. Now what?

This retreat is for the man who knows he's capable of more — but feels disconnected or stuck on autopilot.

He's ready to step outside his comfort zone, challenge himself, and have honest conversations without the usual masks.

He values growth, brotherhood, and truth. And he's willing to show up fully and do the work to become a stronger, more grounded version of himself.

"I'm successful on the outside and running on empty on the inside."

"I know something needs to change. I keep waiting for the right moment."

"I have people around me. I don't feel truly known by any of them."

"I keep waiting for someone to ask me the right question. No one has."

"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are." — Carl Jung

Not a Seminar.
Not a Vacation.
An initiation.

Primal Man is where men come to build skills with their hands, push their bodies, strip away the noise, and connect with other men at a deeper level. Four days in the mountains. Brotherhood, truth, and transformation.

You'll leave with dirt on your hands, brothers at your back, and a clarity you haven't felt in years.

Everything we do lives inside these four domains.

The four places modern men are most starved — and most in need of reclamation.

🪓

Earned Confidence

Competence is the root of confidence

Modern men have been separated from the skills that once defined them. We put tools back in your hands — and watch what happens to the rest of you.

💪

Blood & Bone

Reclaim your body as a home

You cannot think your way into aliveness. The body is the fastest path to truth — you have to move, sweat, and feel your way there.

🧭

True North

Find the signal beneath the noise

Most men are reactive — building lives shaped by others' expectations. We strip that back and locate what is actually, undeniably true for you.

🔥

Bound by Fire

Be forged and known by other men

Connection is the thread running through all of it. Men don't just sit around a fire — they are changed by what gets spoken, witnessed, and held there.

"Do not pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one."

— Bruce Lee

Four phases. One complete journey.

You descend before you rise. You confront before you clarify. You break before you rebuild. The arc is not accidental — it is the initiation.

Day 1

Arrival

Land · Fire · Lodge

You arrive at the mountain and begin. A sweat lodge ceremony opens the journey. By the time the fire council closes the night, you are no longer a stranger.

Sweat Lodge Fire Council Shared Meal

Day 2

The Work

Body · Skills · Silence

An early start. Physical challenge at dawn. Skills in your hands by afternoon. A shared meal and stories at night. Silence falls and holds until morning.

Day 3

The Threshold

Stillness · Fast · Fire

You begin the day alone in the mountains. A fast begins. Inner work through the afternoon. The fire council closes the night with commitments spoken aloud.

Solo Time 24-Hr Fast Commitments

Day 4

The Return

Integration · Closure · Home

The fast breaks together — a final shared meal. Integration work, a commitment circle, and a closing ceremony. You leave before noon. Different than you arrived.

The Men
Leading the Way

Every man who steps into the wild with us is held by facilitators who have done the work themselves — and earned the right to guide others through it.

Blankenburg

Primal Man Founder & Wilderness Enthusiast

Brent Blankenburg has spent more than a decade building a life rooted in presence, hard work, and intentional living — as a husband, father, and man who believes staying capable is a practice, not a destination.

At home in the outdoors, Brent's grounding comes from working with his hands, hunting, running trails, and gathering around a fire with people who matter. His conviction is simple: a man should stay capable, stay connected, and never stop growing.

Primal Man Retreats was born from that conviction — a desire to create the kind of experience that calls men back to themselves, out of the noise of modern life and into something real.

Rico Sol

Rico
Sol

Somatic Coach & Men's Work Facilitator

Rico Sol spent 15 years in corporate America — tech, finance, relationship management and sales — before stepping off the path that looked right on paper and into work that actually mattered.

The shift came through recovery. What he found on the other side wasn't just sobriety, it was a deeper truth: that most men, addicted to something or not, are living disconnected from themselves.

Now a performance coach specializing in nervous system regulation and breathwork, Rico helps men get out of their heads and back into their bodies. He facilitates a men's group in Rhode Island and brings a grounded presence that makes hard work feel possible.

When he's not coaching, he's in the ocean spearfishing, jumping out of planes, or in daily movement practice. He lives close to the edge, and he'll invite you to do the same.

Jude Sky

Sky

Traditional Wisdom Keeper & Sweat Leader

Jude Sky has spent more than 30 years living at the intersection of sacred ceremony, mindfulness, neuroscience, animistic shamanism, and human psychology.

A long-time Sun Dancer and traditional ceremonialist, Jude's work is rooted in building bridges between ancient wisdom and modern life. He has studied under traditional elders and teachers across traditions and has stewarded ceremonial community for over a decade.

His gift is helping people find their spirit and then weave it into the fabric of everyday living. Through presence, practice, and ceremony, he guides men toward their own path, purpose, and deeper connection with the beauty and mystery of life.
